Escape Room Birthday Party For Large Groups

Looking to organise your escape room birthday party or just a fun activity with friends? We’ve got you covered! At TimberVault, Plymouth, we have six incredible escape rooms for you to try. There are a few things to consider when organising your team to maximise your potential. Keep reading to find out more!

Getting Your Group Together For An Escape Room Birthday Party

All of our escape rooms are suitable for 2-6 players, ages 10+. Which of your friends and family will be up for the challenge? It’s a good idea to consider everyone’s strengths when it comes to strategy. Who is the problem-solver? Are you the team leader? Who is best at communication? Having a wide range of skills will benefit you when it comes to making your escape.

Choosing Your Escape Room

As previously mentioned, we have six amazing escape rooms for you to complete. But which will be your first? Take a look and see what you think…

221B Baker Street

Are you a Sherlock fan? If so, you’ll love our 221B Baker Street escape room! Picture this… You’ve been recruited by Sherlock’s arch-nemesis, Professor James Moriarty. Sherlock has stolen a historic item of importance, and Moriarty needs you to retrieve it! Your team’s job is to break into the home of Sherlock Holmes, 221B Baker Street, and find the historic item. Sounds easy, right? But with Sherlock’s codes and fail-safes, it’s no simple task. You’ll have to hurry, too, Sherlock and Dr Watson are on their way…

You’ll have just 60 minutes to crack the case and escape 221B Baker Street. This might be our least difficult escape room, but that doesn’t make it easy.

The Arcade

Stepping up the difficulty a little now, we have our next escape room: ‘The Arcade’. You and your teammates have woken up in an old-school arcade after losing a bet with Doc Rick. This is the perfect vibrant challenge for your escape room birthday party! You quickly realise Doc Rick has used his time warp to send you back to 1985. Are you prepared to escape the past? Beat the Doc’s games and you’ll be just fine, so long as you do so within 60 minutes…

Area 51

Consider yourself a bit of a conspiracy theorist? Our ‘Area 51’ escape room might be the one for you! Rumour has it that a paranormal incident was hidden away in a basement right here in Plymouth. You and your friends have stumbled across this basement, and you’re about to take a look at the ‘evidence’. Work out whether it’s just a conspiracy or the real deal within an hour and get out of there!

The Bank Heist

Ever wondered how good you’d be at robbing a bank? Well, now’s your chance to find out with our bank heist escape room. Get together your team of bandits and navigate the bank’s security systems to escape with as much money as you can within 60 minutes!

Witchcraft & Wizardry

Fancy a magical birthday party escape room? This is the one for you. You’ll be welcomed into the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but everything is not as it seems… Solve tricks, puzzles and spells to escape the evil professor and graduate at the top of your class!

Sub Zero

Our final escape room, and our most difficult, is ‘Sub Zero’. Do you and your teammates have the skills to solve it? With only a 35% success rate, this one is a real challenge. The HMS Pandora spy submarine lost its entire crew in a secret mission. You can’t let the evidence fall into enemy hands! With 60 minutes of life support, your team needs to dive in and access the submarine’s self-destruct function. Don’t forget to escape before it’s too late…

The Key To Success

Think you have what it takes to complete one of our escape rooms? We have faith in you! Here are some tips to help you out along the way:

  • Play with people you know, and understand your strengths.
  • Give everyone a chance to solve a puzzle, after all, you’re here to have fun!
  • Communication is key. Listen to everyone’s ideas, no matter how crazy it seems, they could have the answer!
  • Contribute as much as you can, everything helps!
  • Stay organised. This can be difficult with lots of people, but keeping your puzzles and clues in order is extremely important.
  • Have fun! Winning might seem like the most important thing, but staying calm and enjoying the puzzles is much more enjoyable.
